All About Rice
The cultivation of rice precedes recorded history. As far back as 2800 B.C., stories of rice are significant in the history of Eastern cultures - from China to ancient Greece to the Nile Delta. In North America, the cultivation of rice began with the colonization of the fertile new land. By the turn of the twentieth century, rice was well established in California and in what are today’s major Southern rice growing states: Louisiana, Arkansas,Texas, Mississippi and Missouri. Since 1942, the name Falcon® has been synonymous with the rice industry of South Louisiana.
